FAT32 and NTFS are both file system formats of hard drives and flash drives. NTFS is the default file system of the current generation of Windows operating systems and offers better security, compression and encryption over the older FAT32 format. As hard drives get bigger, the limitations of the FAT32 file system become more prominent — for example, it cannot handle files over 4GB. Using an included Windows utility, changing formats is extremely easy and only takes a few minutes. Connect the FAT32 drive to your computer using the supplied cable.
