How Do You Change A Serpentine Belt On A 95 Jeep 2.5L?
• Lean over the radiator. The power steering pump is on your right. • Take careful note of the routing of the old belt. There should be a diagram sticker around the fan shroud, otherwise draw a good diagram. • Loosen the 3 bolts on the back of the pump bracket. Do not take them out! • Loosen the small bolt underneath the pump. Under the power steering pump there it a long adjusting bolt that screws out to your right and a small bolt perpendicular to it at the front side. Loosen the small bolt to the front then screw out the bolt out to the right about 1 inch. • Remove the old belt. • Install the new belt with exact same routing. • Screw the long bolt back in under the PS pump to obtain proper belt tension. You should use a belt tension gauge. Tighten the 3 bolts on the back of the PS pump and the one bolt under the PS pump that is to the front.
