Park the vehicle on level ground, set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition. Remove the skid plate, if so equipped, with a socket wrench. The skid plate covers the lower engine bay. Locate the filter housing on the front left side of the engine. The oil filter cap has a drain plug in the end cap. Place an oil drain pan under the filter housing and put on rubber gloves.
