Place a drain pan beneath the transmission drain plug. Remove the dipstick from beneath the hood and replace it with a funnel. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the transmission with a socket wrench. Allow the transmission fluid to drain. Be careful that the hot fluid doesn’t burn you.
