How Do You Change Brake Pads On An Acura RSX Type-S?
The Acura RSX Type-S comes equipped with all-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The brakes are comprised of disc rotors and brake pads. Honda recommends that you replace the brake pads every 50,000 miles. Brake pad wear will vary based on driving habits and other environmental factors. Listen for the squeal from the brake pad wear indicators scraping against the rotors. Replace the brake pads as soon as wear is discovered to avoid damaging the rotors. Park the RSX on level ground and turn the engine off. Pull the hood release lever to open the hood and access the master cylinder (reservoir of brake fluid). Lift the hood and remove the master cylinder cap. Place the cap loosely over the container to make the front caliper pistons depressions easier in future steps.
