I have an ’08 LaCrosse and this should be the same design. Open the hood, remove the two plastic push-type fasteners that hold the cowling (or grill) near the wipers. The grill is in two pieces that overlap each other. There’s one plastic fastener on the left side and one in the center. Remove the rubber gasket at the back of the engine compartment. Tilt up the grill and remove a second plastic component that is about 18″ wide and looks like a diverter for rain water. The cabin air filter is tucked in under the grill and over the glove box. With the filter removed, you can see the blower squirrel cage. Install the new cabin air filter, and as they say, installation is the reverse.
