After you have drain the engine oil from the oil pan the oil filter needs to be replaced. The oil filter is located on the side of the oil pan. The oil filter is screw into the engine. This is a basic job that will take about 20 minutes to complete. Position the ramp lifts in front of the front tires. Drive the 2005 Chevrolet Impala onto the ramp lifts. Set the parking brake. Position the drain pan under the oil pan’s drain plug. Remove the plug and allow the engine oil to completely drain. Replace the plug to the oil pan. Unscrew the oil filter and pull it off of the engine. Fill the new oil filter with engine oil and screw it into the engine. Get out from underneath the 2005 Chevrolet Impala.
