Once your tires begin to lose their grip on the snow, it’s time to replace them with fresh tires. Changing the tires on your snow blower is a fairly straightforward process and only takes a little time. Pick up one side of the snow blower. Slide a block of wood under the axle. Pick up the other side and slide a block under the axle. This will allow you to take the tires off with ease. Unscrew the bolts holding the tire onto the axle. Remove the tire from the axle. Unscrew the air cap on the tire. Push the air valve to the side to release the air pressure in the tire. Slide the flathead screwdriver between the snow blower tire and rim. Push the screwdriver handle in toward the rim to pry the tire off. Do this around the entire inner circumference of the tire.
