I actually have never used Windows Movie Maker. I use a Mac, iMovie came standard on my computer (iMovie is the equivalent to Windows Movie Maker). As far as I know, iMovie does not have the extended features of most standard non-linear editing applications. So chances are, you cannot obtain that effect in Windows Movie Maker either. I think they are just a teaser to get you involved in video-making, which would encourage you to go out and spend money on a more lenient program. If you can, by chance, create the effect, this is how it’s generally done: In Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro (my editing app of choice) and Avid Xpress, if you shorten the length of the clip it will give you that effect. This isn’t just cutting the length shorter, but it consists of selecting all the footage and compressing it to fit in a smaller space of time. In these programs it also give you the option to “maintain the audio pitch.” Selecting this option would NOT give you the high pitched Chipmunk voice,
