Jack up the car, put an axel support under the car. Remove the wheel. Loosen the hand brake. Remove the centre cover on the drum. Remove the split pin. Loosen the locking nut and remove the washer under it. Wiggle the brake drum and pull it off. If it does not come of freely hit the outside of the drum with a soft hammer to loosen the brakes shoes. Once the drum is off clean the brake components with brake cleaner. Have a good look at the position and orientation of the springs, cables etc. Make a drawing if you need to. Remove the spring retaining clips that hold the shoes in place. Pull the shoes out. Disconnect the hand brake cable. Then remove the springs that are holding the two shoes together. Fitting the new shoes is the reverse of the above. When you re-fit the wheel bearings make sure there is enough grease on the bearings. Then with the drum back in place tighten the lock nut until the drum cannot turn by hand, then loosen the nut slightly until the drum can turn by hand. You
