How do you change the rear stop light bulb on a 2002 Jeep Liberty drivers side?

The instructions for replacement of 2002 passenger’s side rear stop light bulb (which follow the instructions for driver’s side and are the only ones I could find online for passenger’s side) do work, and for the 2003 model. It’s a little scary to pull hard enough to separate the assembly from the car body, so it was nice to find the instructions saying that that’s what you have to do. It’s because once you take out the 2 screws on the left side of the assemply, the unit is still held in on the right side by a couple of plastic things that go into holes; they pop out (and later pop back in again) with pressure.
