Sometimes viruses or other malware hijack your computer, causing your sever to send out spam to people in your address book. If your server is blocked, people won’t receive your emails, and you might not get any notification. Periodically check to see if you are on any blacklists. Go to an IP address look-up site such as WhatismyIP to find out the IP address for your computer server. Highlight the digits that make up your IP address. Right-click “Copy.” Go to a blacklist checker such as Mx Toolbox or Website Pulse and put your cursor in the empty box under server IP. Right click “Paste,” then click “Blacklist Check.” A list will pop up showing you all the blacklists your server is on.
