How Do You Check The Transmission Fluid In An Isuzu Rodeo?
The Isuzu Rodeo is a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and was the predecessor to the Isuzu Ascender. The last model year for the Isuzu Rodeo was 2004. The owner’s manual recommends changing the transmission fluid every 24,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first. The manual also recommends checking the transmission fluid every 6,000 miles or six months. If you need to add transmission fluid, the Isuzu owner’s manual requires the use of Dexron(R) III or Type F automatic transmission fluid. Start the vehicle and place the shifter in “Park.” Let the engine warm up to normal operating temperature, for about five to ten minutes. Open the hood and look into the engine compartment. On the left side of the engine, in the front, is the dipstick pull handle. If you have an in-line engine, it will be opposite the oil filter. If you have a V-type engine, it will be located just to the left if the oil filter. Grasp the pull handle and remove the dipstick. Use the paper towel to clean the fluid off
