Spas and hot tubs have rotating jets that pulse water into your aching muscles. Water is known for its therapeutic benefits, and sliding into warm spa water instantly relaxes you. The spa water needs chlorine to be safe for you to sit in. Chlorine santizes the water and kills any bacteria growth. Test your spa water weekly, and add the chlorine and other chemicals to ensure your spa has clear and clean water to relax in. You may purchase chlorine and all other chemicals from your local pool store. Dip a spa testing strip into the spa water, and shake to remove excess water from the strip. Line the colors on the test strip up to the colors on the test strip bottle. One color on the test strip indicates if you are low on chlorine. Add two tbsp. or a capful of chlorine liquid to the spa water. Add any other chemicals that the spa test shows are low such as pH increaser or pH decreaser. Turn the spa on, and allow the jets to agitate the water with the spa cover on for at least 15 to 20 min
