It is something of a given that the bride and groom give a gift to each of the members of the wedding party at the rehearsal dinner. This gift is in appreciation of the time and effort that your friends have taken to make room in their lives for your wedding ceremony and reception. The ladies especially, who probably had to purchase their own bridesmaid gowns, which they will never have occasion to wear again, should have something tangible as a sign that you know how much they have done to make your wedding ceremony a happy event. So, what do you give? You can give anything, pretty much. A general guideline would be that you should give something that in some way will bring back the memory of this wonderful time for you each time they look at it. The bridal party gift should be fairly durable. You would not want the gifts to be left in the lobby of the hotel as your friends leave, since they were no longer working.
