Ever leave the coffee pot turned on too long and the coffee burns and stains the bottom of the pot? Or is your coffee pot just starting to stain and look grundgy from everyday use? Here's a simple, safe, and easy way to make it look like new! Make sure coffe pot is cool, or it may crack. Pour in just enough salt to cover bottom of pot. Add enough ice cubes to cover about 3/4 of the bottom of the pot. Add just enough room temperature water to allow the ice cubes to slide around freely. Grasp the pot by the handle and begin moving it around in a circular motion. The salt scrubs the pot, the water and ice cubes act as lubrication for the salt. Do this for about 5 minutes, then dump out the mixture and rinse out the pot. Stubborn stains may require a repeat of the above. This will not scratch or harm the pot.  more
