How do you clean a goldfish tank?

• Find a small bowl or a cup big enough to hold your goldfish. • Take your fish net (which you should have!) and scoop out your aquatic friend and place him in the cup or new bowl of clean water. • While you begin cleaning the tank it is a good idea to add some table salt to where your fish is staying just so he can have some cleaning time and if he has a cut or fleshy stuff, that can be taken care of. • Dump the gravel into a bucket and wash out the poo and anything else that shouldn’t be there. Take a scrubber and rinse the sides of the tank or bowl. Never use soap! • Dump the substrate back in and add clean water that is room temperature. Optional– add some water conditioner to the water to make sure the water is safe for your fish. Make sure you put some plants and decorations in the tank or bowl so your fish feels at home. Add your fish to the bowl or tank slowly. Now your tank is all sparkly!
