How Do You Clean A Stainless Steel Teapot?
If you own and use a stainless steel teapot, you may wonder how to clean it. While stainless steel is designed for low maintenance, you should clean the inside of your pot because scale or calcium deposits may develop inside of the teapot as a result of regular use. You may also want to clean the outside of your stainless steel tea kettle if the finish becomes dull or smudged with fingerprints. Step 1 Fill your teapot halfway with warm water, and add 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Mix well with a long handled spoon. Allow the vinger and water solution to remain in the teapot for 10 to 20 minutes. Step 2 Gently scrub the inside of the teapot with a scouring pad and remove any existing scale or calcium deposits. Step 3 Pour out the vinegar and water solution, and rinse the inside of the kettle with cool, clean water. Step 4 Allow the kettle to dry thoroughly, and fill it with warm water.
