How Do You Clean A Wall After Removing Wallpaper?
Removing wallpaper from walls is a challenging task, and cleaning a wall after the wallpaper has been moved can seem even more daunting. However, you can successfully clean and remove glue and paper bits from walls with the proper supplies and correct techniques. Cover your floor with plastic tarp for protection from dripping glue and debris. The tarp can be easily rolled up and dumped after wall cleaning. Use a clothing iron on the steam setting to press over areas of the wall where pieces of wallpaper have not come off. This will help lift the remaining paper from the wall. Mix, in a bucket, a solution of one gallon of water to three cups of vinegar. Apply the solution to the wall with a clean terry cloth, working in circular motions to remove debris and glue from the wall. Use a soft bristled brush to work off tough glue spots. Wash your hands thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap as most wall papers contain pesticides. Allow the wall to dry completely by wiping down with a dry towel
