How Do You Clean Carpet With White Vinegar?
Commercial carpet cleaners may remove stains but can be expensive. White vinegar is an inexpensive, versatile cleaning agent that can be used to clean tables, countertops and carpets. You can combine the white vinegar with a few other inexpensive liquids you have on hand to create a cleaner that will remove stains from your carpet. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water into a spray bottle. Add a teaspoon of liquid dish soap and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Shake the bottle for about 10 seconds to mix all of the liquids together. Place paper towels over the wet, stained portion of the carpet. Stand on the towels to help them absorb the moisture. Avoid rubbing the area so as not to spread the stain into the carpet. Spray your cleaning mixture onto the stained portion of the carpet after it is dry.
