Over time, faux wood blinds may become discolored from things such as dirt, mildew and smoke exposure. Properly cleaning faux wood blinds will preserve their beauty for years to come. Place the blinds in the “Down” position and open up the slats. This will allow for easier cleaning of both sides of each slat. Fill a bucket with warm water and a few squirts of mild dish soap. Fill a second bucket with plain water. Place a piece of plastic or a garbage bag on the floor underneath the blinds to protect the floor from water. Dip a rag in the bucket of soapy water and wring it out well.
