How Do You Clean Dryer Lint Screen?
The dryer lint screen is a small contraption that extracts all of the unfavorable lint from tumbling clothes in the dryer. Taking out the lint from the screen should be done right before drying your clothes. Many people don’t realize that washing this screen once in a while is just as important, as it will greatly improve the lint screen collection for future use. Find the lint screen in your dryer—it’s typically located near the dryer’s door. Pull out the handle to view the entire lint screen in front of you. You can use the tips of your fingers to peel the lint off the screen. It should be soft and matted for easy lift-off. Throw the mass away. Get most of the lint off the screen this way, just by nudging your finger on and around the screen. Take at least a couple minutes to wash off any possible fabric softener film that you can’t see.
