How Do You Clean Engineered Hardwood Floors?
Many homes now have engineered hardwood floors installed in them. This type of flooring is durable as well as beautiful. If you have engineered hardwood floors in your home or are considering having them installed, here are some basic instructions on how to keep these floors clean and new looking for many years to come. Clean any debris from the engineered flooring on a regular basis. Daily cleaning is best, but you should clean the floor at least every other day. Use a soft flooring attachment on your vacuum as you clean. Or use a dust mop with a soft head to clean the hardwood surface. A soft bristled broom is also an acceptable cleaning tool. Place throw rugs with rubber safety backing or doormats at each doorway leading into the room with the engineered flooring. The rugs catch most of the dust and debris that can come from the outside.
