While "I don't do windows" may be an old, cliched joke, it nevertheless speaks volumes about how mundane a task cleaning glass is. Looking back on your work to see dried streaks of liquid glass cleaner in ugly, opaque swirls doesn't particularly help matters. There is a better and faster method, though you'll probably do a double-take at the next sentence. It's fine mesh steel wool. Yes, you read that correctly. When you see the results, you'll understand why participants in auto shows use fine mesh steel wool to clean the windows and mirrors on their expensive show pieces. Hold a piece of fine mesh steel wool in your fingertips, and rub the window or mirror glass in a clockwise circular motion. Do so with reasonable firmness, applying even pressure on the glass while "buffing." Continue in the same way with other glass surfaces, replacing steel wool pads as needed (the pads will eventually disintegrate as they are being used).
