How Do You Clean Hardwood Floors Naturally With Vinegar?

0

You do not need expensive or chemical laden cleaners for your hardwood floors. You can clean them effectively with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Vinegar is a common natural cleaning ingredient because of it’s disinfecting properties. Sweep the hardwood floors with a broom to remove any dirt and debris from the area. Combine 3 cups of white vinegar, 3 cups warm water and peppermint essential oil. The essential oil is not required, but it provides a minty smell and it does aid in the disinfectant properties of the natural cleaner. Mop the hard wood floors with the vinegar mixture to clean it. Be careful not to get your mop to damp. Allowing excessive moisture to enter the cracks of hardwood floors can cause the boards to warp. After your floors are clean and dry you can wax them by buffing them with a clean cotton cloth and linseed oil. Linseed oil is natural and will moisturize and protect the hard wood floor.
