How Do You Clean Painted Concrete Floors?

0

Painted concrete floors aren’t necessarily difficult to clean; the method is similar to those used to clean most floors, but you must use caution when choosing the chemicals and cleaning solutions. Even if your floor has been treated with a sealant, certain chemicals can break the sealant down and damage the floor, but with the right tools and a little bit of elbow grease, you’ll have your painted concrete floor looking like new in no time. Sweep the floor thoroughly to gather up the bulk of the dust and larger debris. Take extra care at the corners and edges of the floor–where most of the dust tends to settle. Go over the floor with a dust mop to gather any dust you may have left behind in sweeping. Don’t worry too much about getting all of it, just get as much as you can so you don’t create a layer of mud when you mop. Fill the bucket with warm water and a small amount of mild all-purpose cleaner or dish soap. Avoid using cleaners with ammonia or vinegar as these may damage the seal
