Fireplaces are a wonderful source of heat and beauty. Nothing is better than curling up in front of a fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winters night But no one enjoys the unsightly mess of black soot covering the fireplace screen glass. Now you can easily remove that black mess after every fire to reveal shiny new glass. Take an old cleaning towel or some paper towels and damp part of the towel with some rubbing alcohol. Any old rag will do, or cotton balls. Use something that you don't mind throwing away when finished. Apply the moistened towel to the soot covered glass and wipe and rub in circular motions Continue this process until all black soot is removed, reapplying rubbing alcohol as needed. Once the black soot has been removed with the rubbing alcohol, spray the glass with your regular glass cleaner and wipe clean. Soap and water may also be used.  more
