Bathroom sinks accumulate everything from mouthfuls of toothpaste to soap scum. Fortunately, most sinks are made of durable materials that can withstand the assault and are easy to clean. You should clean the bathroom sink at least once a week with wipe-downs after each use. Put on your gloves. Pull up on the sink plug and remove it. Take a paper towel or cleaning cloth and remove all junk, hair and other accumulated items from the plug. Discard the gunk in the garbage can and replace the stopper.
