How Do You Clean The Jets In A Jet Tub?
Soap scum, dirt and debris can all begin to clog up jets in a jet tub. They won’t work as well or efficiently, and if they get plugged up so much as to begin to impede water flow, the motor will have to work harder, and it could burn out. The best way to deal with this is routine cleaning — about twice a year. This will prolong the life of your jet tub and cut down on costly maintenance. Fill up your tub so that the water almost covers the jets. Be sure that you have plugged the drain so that you do not waste water. Put a little toilet bowl cleaner on your tooth brush. Cover all the bristles. Scrub out the jets using the toothbrush. Just like you are brushing teeth, insert the toothbrush into a jet and begin scrubbing. Work your way around the entire jet, top to bottom. Repeat this procedure on each jet. Fill the tub up the rest of the way and turn on your jets. This will rinse out the jets. Drain the tub. Your jets will once again be as good as new.
