How Do You Clean Tungsten Carbide Jewelry?
• Make the cleaning solution. Because many soaps and detergents (and even jewelry cleaners) react with the elements in a tungsten carbide ring, you should not use them. To clean your tungsten ring simply mix a few drops of hand soap or mild dish soap with a bucket of warm water. • Soak your ring. Let your jewelry soak in the warm water for a few minutes to loosen up the dirt on the surface. This will make the washing easier. • Work up a lather and scrub. Using a cotton cloth, work up a lather. Take the ring out of the water and scrub vigorously. • Pay attention to detail. If there is dirt stuck in the grooves of your ring, around the inlaid gemstones, or other small crevices, take a Q-Tip or toothbrush and dip it in the soap. Scrub the ring thoroughly. • Rinse the ring. Once your ring is clean, rinse it off under a stream of warm water. Dry it off. Dry off your ring with a cotton cloth.
