Urine stains and odor can be difficult to remove from grout and tile floors. The uric acid crystals found in urine can be broken up only with an enzyme-based cleaning product. Normal chemical cleaning products can not break down uric acid crystals permanently like enzyme-based cleaners can. Spray an enzyme-based urine remover, such as Odorzyme, onto the urine stain. The remover must soak the entire stain to get rid of the stain and the smell. The smell may get worse when you use the remover, but that just means the product is breaking up the urine and bringing it to the surface of the grout. Cover the entire are with plastic wrap, letting the product soak for 24 to 48 hours depending on the severity of the stain. This will keep the product moist and let it work for longer than a simple soak. Remove the plastic wrap and wait for the product to dry.
