How Do You Clear BIOS Password Protection On A Dell Latitude C510?
If your Dell Latitude C510 has a BIOS password that is preventing you from accessing your computer, you can clear the password by physically disconnecting the reserve battery for the motherboard. Disconnecting the reserve battery will reset BIOS settings such as password protection by clearing the BIOS memory modules. Once the BIOS password has been reset, you will be able to use your laptop normally. Shut down your Dell Latitude C510 and remove all peripherals from the computer. Unplug the AC adapter and remove all batteries from the case. Close the display and flip the laptop upside down. Unscrew the five screws marked “K” from the bottom of the computer.
