How Do You Clear Codes On RCA Universal Remotes?

0

RCA universal remote controls can be used to control several devices with a single remote. The remotes are compatible with most popular brands and can be programmed to control television sets, DVD players, cable and satellite boxes, and VCRs. The only way to manually clear a code that is programmed to an RCA universal remote is to enter another code for a different device. Turn on the device (for this example a TV) you want to add a code from. Turn it on manually, not with the remote. Press and hold the TV button. Enter one of the codes from the TV code list (see link in references) while still holding the TV button down. Release the TV button and the old code will be cleared and replaced by the new code. Press the “Power” button to see if the television responds to the remote control commands. If the code doesn’t work, repeat the same steps using a different code from the TV code list.
