Once established, the worm farm requires only periodic feedings. The worms do the rest of the work. Prepare your worm bin to receive the worms. Shred newspaper into 1 1/2-inch strips to make the worm bin bedding. Fill bin two-thirds full of shredded newspaper. Moisten newspaper until thoroughly damp but not dripping. Add worms to bin and sprinkle crushed egg shells over the newspaper. Allow the worms 24 to 48 hours to settle in to their new home. Feed the worms once per week at first.
