Airbrushing is a pastime and trade for many artisans across the country. Learning the mechanics and techniques of airbrushing requires much practice and is only achieved over long periods of time. Airbrushing is popular for T-shirt design, model cars and airplanes, as well as in the automotive industry with detailed body or window designs. Knowing the mechanics of airbrushing can greatly reduce any technical difficulties you may encounter while learning or applying this skill. Turn the compressor off and locate the air feed hose on the air compressor. This will be protruding from the side or top of the compressor depending on which model you have. Locate the air hose connection valve on the airbrush. This will be either on the back end of the airbrush or most commonly located on the bottom of the brush adjacent to the control lever.
