How Do You Connect Netgear To 2Wire?
2Wire manufactures a number of different modems for use in DSL and fiber-optic networking. Most of these models come with built-in wireless networking; but some, like the 2Wire 2071, don’t. In that case, if you want wireless connectivity, you’ll have to connect a wireless router to your 2Wire. Netgear makes a series of wireless routers that you can use to connect to your 2Wire modem. Set the Netgear router up next to your 2Wire broadband modem. Plug one end of the AC adapter that came with your Netgear into the unit, and the other end into the wall. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable that came with your Netgear into the port marked “Internet” on the back. On most models, this is usually green. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the back of the 2Wire modem in the connection labeled “Computer.” On the 2071 model of 2Wire, this is yellow. Power up your Netgear router.
