The paper clip trick is a simple magic trick which can be performed in an impromptu manner anywhere you can find two paper clips and a dollar bill. If a dollar bill can’t be located, you can substitute any piece of paper. Get two medium-sized paper clips. Small or large paper clips will make the trick harder to perform. Fold a dollar bill into thirds lengthwise. The dollar bill should form a Z shape. Position the bill upright so it stands up. Place the first paper clip on the bill. The first paper clip should clip together the front and middle folds of the bill. For the trick to work, the paper clip must be on the opposite side of the front fold. Put the second paper clip on the bill. The second paper clip should clip together the middle fold and the back fold. It needs to be on the opposite end of the other paper clip.
