How Do You Construct A Bead Loom?

0

Bead work can be done by hand or on a loom. A loom provides small teeth for thread to be set through, so it is is easier to handle. By using small slats of wood and nail combs, you can construct a small bead loom at home. Lay your 3/4 inch x 6 inch x 1 to 3 foot slat of wood down on the floor. This is the base slat. Hold one end of a 3/4 inch x 3 inch x 6 inch slat against the left side of your base slat. Secure it by hammering two or three nails through the small piece of wood and into the base piece of wood. Nail the other 3/4 x 3 x 6 slat against the other end of the base. Put a nail comb on the top of the inside of the left slat. The comb teeth should be sticking up and should be coming out above the wood. Nail it in. Put another nail comb on the top of the inside of the right slat. The comb teeth should be sticking up and should be coming out above the wood. Nail it in.
