Purchasing a Simplicity Pooh convertible infant crib saves the need to buy additional furniture as the child grows. Once an infant moves around on his own, he may be no longer content to remain in the confinements of the infant crib. The toddler bed will let the young child enter and exit his bed safely. Though only a partial rail will be in place to prevent the child from rolling out, the mattress will be very close to the floor. Take the drop rail off of the Pooh crib frame. The drop rail is the side that lowers to gain access to the infant. There are tracks at each end of the drop rail. Raise this rail up and press the tabs at the top of each track inward. Slide the drop rail up and off of the tracks. Move the mattress supports to the lowest level. Use the Allen wrench to take the bolts out and lower the supports. Remove the casters from the Pooh crib.
