How Do You Convert Celsius And Fahrenheit Temperatures The Easy Way?

0

One of the most common measurement conversions done is to move between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature scales. There are some complicated formulas to move from one temperature scale to the other, that are pretty hard to do in your head. But unless you’re a scientist, there’s a much easier way to do it — no calculator necessary! Begin with the temperature you want to convert, either in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. To convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit: Double the number and add 32. For example, 20C becomes 72F (20*2 + 32 = 72). To convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius: Subtract 32 and halve. For example, 72F becomes 20C ((72-32) / 2 = 20). You can see how close these sample conversions come to the hard “scientific” way: 20C is actually 68F, and 72F is 22C. Our numbers are very close to the real thing, but much easier to do in your head!
