Ripping and converting DVD’s to a Windows Media Player (WMP) format such as Windows Media Video (WMV) is a simple process that allows you to upload the videos on portable players and video sharing and social websites. Windows Media Video (WMV) is a compressed video format developed by Microsoft that relies on many different codecs to playback video. Converting DVDs to this format can be accomplished using a DVD converter software. Download and install a DVD ripper and converter program such as ADC DVD Converter (see Resources). Insert your DVD disc into the DVD-ROM driver and launch the installed program. Click “Open DVD” on the top menu and select the DVD-ROM containing the DVD disc. Click “Open” to load it on the source window of your program. Select “Customized WMV Movie (*.WMV)” on the profile window. WMV (Windows Media Video) is a video format playable on the Windows Media Player (WMV). Select the output video size and quality settings. Select the audio quality settings and select
