If you have discovered some sweet new videos while watching MTV, you may want to capture those videos so that you can watch them whenever you’d like. Instead of recording the videos on a video tape that is going to degrade over time, or filling up all of your DVR space with video blocks, you can capture those MTV music videos and turn them into digital video files that can be stored on your computer. Hook your TV, DVR or VCR up to the computer using either a video capture device or a digital video camera as a pass-through for the signal. To hook up a video capture device, connect the A/V cords on the device to the video and audio outputs on the TV, DVR or VCR and connect the USB cable at the other end to an open USB port on the computer.
