How Do You Cook A Perfect Crispy Baked Potato?
It was only recently that I discovered how to create a steak house perfect crispy baked potato. For years I’d been baking my potatoes in aluminum foil which actually steams the potato and gives it an entirely different texture and taste. This recipe will yield beautiful crispy potatoes – the perfect companion for steaks or BBQ. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place a sheet of aluminum foil, shiny side up, on a cookie sheet or flat baking pan. Spray the surface with the cooking spray. Prepare your baking potatoes by washing and scrubbing them thoroughly to remove all the dirt. Dry them with a paper towel and place them on the cookie sheet. Pierce each potato several times on all 4 sides with a fork. Using your hands, coat each potato with olive oil and salt.
