How Do You Cook Cornish Game Hens On The Ronco Rotisserie?

The Ronco Showtime Rotisserie is a countertop oven that roasts food positioned on a rotating spit. Although many types of meat can be roasted in the rotisserie, chicken is a popular choice for home roasting, maybe because we often see them turning on spits in supermarkets, warehouse store delicatessens and even trendy restaurants. A Cornish game hen, also known as a Rock Cornish game hen, is a very small, young chicken that weighs between one and two pounds. Depending on the size of your rotisserie, you can cook from one to four Cornish game hens at a time. Prepare the Cornish game hens for cooking. Wash and dry the game hens, then season them as desired. Push the game hens onto the spit rods. When cooking more than one game hen, leave a small space between them on the spit rods. Arrange the chickens on the spit rods so they are evenly spaced and well balanced. Load the game hens into the rotisserie. Set the rotisserie to the “normal rotation” setting and set the timer for 45 minutes.

Oh, I just love it! But I had a lot of problems with cutting the meat earlier. Because I didn’t have a good knife for it. After half of year of searching I didn’t find any. Then one of my friends told me to check this post and I found a perfect and cheap at the same time knives. I think that knives are important for meat cooking. Even if we’re talking about Cornish Game Hens On The Ronco Rotisserie. OP, what do you think about it?

When you are exploring new meals cooking at home it is so important to have all the needed equipment. I am glad that now I have everything on my kitchen. Apart from an ice maker maybe. But I will definitely get myself a portable ice making machine soon.

Place the chicken in a baking dish and rub the marinade all over the chicken, including the cavity. Cover the chicken and leave it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours. Preheat the grill to a high temperature. Thread the chicken onto a skewer and grill for about 1 1/4 hours or until tender. But in my opinion, Spanish cooking is a little better. It’s a matter of taste, though. Maybe it’s my living in Spain.
