Cooking for a crowd can be challenging in a conventional kitchen. Cooking for a crowd when camping can seem almost impossible to a novice campfire cook. However, there are many dishes that are easy to prepare, even when camping. Recipes for pasta dishes and soups are easy to make for a crowd of campers. Prepare quick and easy French toast bits. Tear up hamburger and hot dog buns into bite-sized chunks and dip them in an egg-milk-cinnamon wash. Fry them up in a skillet over a cookstove or on a rack over a fire pit with a hot bed of coals in it. Bring along a bag of frozen hash browns or tater tots and make a breakfast bake big enough for a crowd. Mix one dozen eggs with a quarter cup of milk and eight slices of crumbled bacon together.
