How Do You Craft With Wooden Skewers?
Crafting with wooden skewers is just as easy as crafting with Popsicle sticks. Their simple shape and inexpensive price makes them an economical craft supply for a variety of projects. Use wooden skewers to create a primitive five-pointed star to decorate the branches of your Christmas tree or to lean casually on your fireplace mantle. This crisscrossed star is formed like the stars drawn at the top of a perfect school paper. Cut off the pointed end of five wooden skewers using wire cutters or the wire-cutting edge on needle-nose pliers. Place a small piece of sandpaper on your work surface and rub the cut ends of the skewers on it to smooth away jagged or splintered ends. The skewers should be the same length.
