By using a patterned border and leaving the rest of the page white, you add visual interest without sacrificing readability. This eHow uses Paint Shop Pro 5.0 or later. You’ll need an image that you want to use for your border pattern. Open Paint Shop Pro. Click on the File menu and select New. Set the image dimensions at 100 pixels high and 100 pixels wide, with a white background color and 16.7 million colors for the image type. Open the image containing the pattern you want to use. Move that image to the bottom of the screen. Click on the Fill tool (which resembles a tilted bucket dripping paint) from the toolbar. Choose Pattern from the fill style on the Control toolbar.
