A French braid has a romantic and elegant appearance that looks nice for any occasion. French braids look complicated, but they are surprisingly simple to do with some practice and a little bit of know-how. The only requirement is that the hair is at least medium length. Comb the hair with a wide-tooth comb to remove any snarls and tangles. Then comb it with the narrow tooth comb to make sure even the tiniest tangle has been removed because even small tangles will create problem when you begin French braiding. Apply a bit of hair gel or mousse to keep wisps and stray hairs under control. Part your hair evenly down the middle of your head with the rat tail comb. Starting on one side of the head, divide the hair into three equal sections to begin braiding.
