Whether entertaining special friends or gathering around a fireplace with family, there is nothing more loving and comforting than to share a warm mug of homemade Hot Chocolate with someone you love. Many memories with my children and with good friends started with a warm mug of this incredibly delicious Hot Chocolate. Combine cocoa with a small amount of water, adding a little at a time, in a bowl until it looks like chocolate syrup. Stir well. Set aside. Pour the half & half and the condensed milk in a 1-quart cooking pot. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the milk begins to simmer. Add the chocolate syrup mixture to the simmering milk on the stove. Stir in sugar. Continue simmering, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Add nutmeg and cinnamon. Pour into the mugs. Add whipped cream or marshmallows and a stick of chocolate or cinnamon as desired. Make 4 servings.
