Designing the perfect wedding invitation is one of the first ways to set the tone for your event. Growing in popularity is the use of a photo, typically an engagement photo, as the backdrop of your invitation. With a little bit of dedication, and a careful eye for placement, your custom wedding invitation can offer your guests a unique look into you and your future spouse’s life together. Open Microsoft Publisher (or another desktop publishing program) and select “File,” then “New” from the toolbar at the top of your screen. Preview several design options that will now be displayed after clicking “New.” Click on the image of the blank publication that corresponds with the size paper you chose for your invitations. This will open your workspace for you. Select the text box icon on the toolbar located on the left side of the screen.
